The Chalet

New for the 2026/27 season, Chalet Mowgli is one of the most distinctive properties in our Val d'Isère collection. Exclusively catered by BuildMySkiTrip, this architect-designed chalet combines contemporary design, natural materials and light-filled living spaces to create a fresh alternative to the traditional Alpine chalet.

Completed in 2025 following a complete rebuild, Chalet Mowgli has been thoughtfully designed across four beautifully arranged floors to maximise light, space and comfort. As a freestanding chalet with no adjoining neighbours, it offers a greater sense of privacy than many properties in Val d'Isère, whilst still being within easy reach of the resort centre.

Sleeping 10-14 guests across five spacious en-suite bedrooms, Chalet Mowgli is ideal for families and groups of friends. In a resort where bedroom space is often at a premium, the generously sized rooms are a real highlight, while several bedrooms feature mezzanine sleeping areas that work particularly well for older children and teenagers. Large windows throughout the chalet flood both the bedrooms and living spaces with natural light, creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere rarely found in mountain properties.

Designed by its owner to be both functional and inviting, the chalet blends natural timber, exposed concrete and clean architectural lines to create a modern Alpine atmosphere that feels refreshingly different from many traditional ski chalets. The result is a contemporary, design-led property that offers all the comfort of a mountain retreat whilst embracing a more architectural approach to chalet living.

At the heart of the chalet is a bright open-plan living and dining area designed for relaxing together after a day on the mountain. High ceilings, natural materials and large windows create an impressive sense of space, whilst carefully considered design features add character throughout the property. Whether gathering for afternoon tea, enjoying dinner with friends or simply relaxing after skiing, this is a space designed to bring groups together.

After a day on the slopes, guests can unwind in the chalet's private wellness area, complete with a hot tub, sauna and relaxation space. There is also a separate TV room and small games area on the lower floor, providing a useful breakout space for children, teenagers or anyone looking for a quieter corner away from the main living area.

Chalet Mowgli has also been thoughtfully designed with skiers in mind. The dedicated ski entrance features extensive boot warmers, ski racks and plenty of storage for helmets, boots and equipment, making mornings on the slopes simple and stress-free.

Located on Route de la Balme, Chalet Mowgli enjoys a peaceful setting just a short walk from the centre of Val d'Isère. Guests can easily reach the resort's restaurants, bars and shops on foot, whilst the nearby bus stop provides quick access to the main lifts and ski area.

The Catering

In our catered chalets, we really do pride ourselves on the quality of our food and catering. We love food. We are all very much foodies here at Buildmyskitrip.com. That is why our entire ethos for the chalets is based upon the idea of a GENEROUS and INDULGENT menu, with freshly prepared, devilishly moreish, great food (and drink of course). Everything is cooked fresh in the chalets every day, by your very own dedicated and friendly chalet team.

To us, it is quite simple. We want our customers to be excited at the thought of coming back to the chalet each day. Eagerly looking forward to a sumptuous, yummy cake by the fire, delectable wine that makes it completely acceptable to drink 7 nights in a row (you are on holiday after all) and most importantly, a mouth-watering, generous and indulgent meal that is hopefully one of those meals where you think “wow, I can’t stop putting this in my mouth”. A GREAT catered chalet is BOTH great accommodation AND great food.

Location

Chalet Mowgli is located on Route de la Balme, a peaceful area of Val d'Isère that offers the perfect balance between convenience and tranquillity. The resort centre, with its shops, restaurants and bars, is just a short walk away, allowing guests to enjoy everything Val d'Isère has to offer whilst returning to a quieter setting at the end of the day.

The nearest slopes can be reached in around 8 minutes on foot, whilst the nearby shuttle bus stop provides quick and easy access to both La Daille and the main lifts in the centre of resort. With excellent transport links and the resort amenities within easy reach, Chalet Mowgli is an ideal base for your ski holiday in Val d'Isère.

All of our catered chalets are sole-occupancy, meaning the price is based on you having the whole chalet to yourselves.

Who runs the chalets on your website?

We (Buildmyskitrip) operate all of the catered chalets featured on our website ourselves, with our own in-resort team of chefs and chalet hosts. Unlike many websites, we are not a third-party agent, meaning you book directly with the people who run your holiday. This allows us to offer a more personal service, consistent quality and expert knowledge of every chalet we offer.
