Built to be different. Exclusively operated and catered by Buildmyskitrip, Chalet Mowgli is one of the most distinctive properties in our Val d’Isère collection. Modern in design, it combines warm natural timber with expansive windows and bright, airy interiors. Freestanding with no adjoining neighbours, it offers a lovely sense of privacy.

Bedrooms with room to breathe. Accommodating up to 14 guests across five spacious en-suite bedrooms, three with mezzanine sleeping areas, Mowgli is ideal for families and groups of friends, especially those with older children and teenagers.

Made for spending time together. With high ceilings, a contemporary fireplace, a balcony and generous open-plan living spaces, Mowgli is perfect for afternoon tea, drinks before dinner and those evenings around the table that go on longer than planned.

Time to unwind. Head downstairs to your private indoor hot tub and sauna, or settle into the separate TV and games room. Heated boot racks in the ski room mean no cold, damp ski boots in the morning!

Well placed for the village and slopes. Mowgli is an 8–10 minute walk from the centre of Val d’Isère, with its restaurants, shops and bars. The free shuttle stops just 30 seconds from the door, providing easy access to the lifts, ski school meeting points and La Daille.

Bedroom 4 (sleeps 4): Double or twin beds with an additional double mezzanine bed and en-suite shower room.

All bedrooms have TVs and wardrobes. Mezzanine beds are accessed by ladder and are best suited to older children and teenagers, not children under 6.

The Catering

We love food. We’re all foodies here at Buildmyskitrip, so our chalet menus are built around one simple idea: generous, indulgent, devilishly moreish cooking (and drink, of course). Every summer, we sit down with our head chefs to create the new season’s menus, using guest feedback from the winter before. Everything is then made fresh in the chalet every day by your own friendly chalet team.

To us, it’s quite simple. It starts with welcome bubbles on your first night. After that, we want you to be excited about coming back to the chalet after a day on the slopes – for homemade cake and a cup of tea, a glass of good wine (you are on holiday, after all) and dinners like slow-braised beef short rib bourguignon, a proper Savoyard tartiflette or sticky toffee pudding with miso caramel. The kind of dinner you’ll still be talking about on the chairlift the next morning.

Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and other dietary needs are catered for at no extra cost, and there’s a dedicated children’s menu for younger guests. Before you travel, we’ll talk through menus, allergies and any fussy eaters on your pre-arrival concierge call, and you can add everyone’s details in your booking portal – so it’s all sorted before you arrive.

A great catered chalet is great accommodation and great food. We make sure you get both.

Chalet Mowgli is located on Route de la Balme, in a quieter part of Val d’Isère, just an 8–10 minute walk from the resort centre, with its shops, restaurants and bars.

The free resort shuttle stops just 30 seconds from the chalet, providing easy access to the main ski lifts, ski school meeting points and La Daille. It's a lovely balance of convenience and privacy, with everything Val d’Isère has to offer within easy reach.

What’s included in a Buildmyskitrip catered chalet?

Your holiday includes 7 nights' exclusive chalet accommodation and 6 days of catering from your private chef and chalet hosts. Enjoy daily breakfast, homemade afternoon tea, four-course evening meals with wine and soft drinks, plus welcome bubbles on arrival. Daily housekeeping is provided on six days, along with a midweek towel change. Your chalet team has one day off each week.

What is not included in the chalet price?

There are a few things you'll need to arrange separately, including flights, airport transfers, lift passes, ski equipment hire, ski lessons and travel insurance. Lunches are not included, and on Wednesday evening, when your chalet team has their well-deserved night off, you're free to explore one of the resort's lovely restaurants.

Of course, we're here to help with the planning too! Our team can recommend and help arrange airport transfers, ski lessons and equipment hire before you arrive, so you can simply look forward to your holiday.

Can we use the chalet kitchen to prepare our own food?

For food safety and insurance reasons, guests aren't permitted to use the chalet kitchen for cooking or food preparation, including on our chalet team's day off (Wednesday).

A kettle, toaster and coffee machine are available for guests to use. On Wednesday evening, you can explore Val d’Isère's restaurants or enjoy a takeaway, and our team will happily recommend their favourites.

What drinks are included in the chalet, and can we bring our own?

Red, white and rosé wine are included with your evening meals, along with soft drinks. You're also very welcome to bring your own drinks to enjoy during your stay.

If you'd prefer something special, you can upgrade to a selection of premium wines for an additional charge. We can also arrange for beer to be ordered in advance and delivered directly to your chalet, ready for your arrival. Just let us know what you'd like and we'll provide the options and prices.

How many people does Chalet Mowgli sleep?

Chalet Mowgli sleeps up to 14 guests across five en-suite bedrooms. Three bedrooms have additional mezzanine sleeping areas accessed by ladder, making them particularly suitable for older children and teenagers. Mezzanine beds are not suitable for children under 6.

Can smaller groups book Chalet Mowgli?

Absolutely! Chalet Mowgli is always booked exclusively for your group, whatever its size. Our advertised prices are based on 10 guests, but we can adjust the price for smaller or larger groups to reflect the number of people staying. Just get in touch and we'll happily provide a personalised quote for your group.

Geneva is the most popular airport for reaching Val d’Isère, with a transfer time of approximately 3–3.5 hours, depending on traffic and weather conditions. Our team can help arrange private or shared airport transfers directly to the chalet.

Does Chalet Mowgli have parking and Wi-Fi?

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout Chalet Mowgli. There is no dedicated parking at the chalet, but public parking options are available in Val d’Isère. Once you've arrived, the free resort shuttle makes it easy to get around without needing your car.
